It's long, complicated, and specific. Note: I feel there's a difference between "High Sci-Fi" (like High Fantasy) and "Hard Sci-Fi". There's Space Opera, too. And so on. I'll probably essay up some long and uninteresting paper on my issues with Hard Sci-Fi sometime soonish.
