It was only after she picked up all her fallen groceries that she realized she had been struck down by an Adonis of a man. An inconsiderate rude Adonis, yes, but an Adonis all the same. His blue eyes, fixed on the distance as he plowed into her, had been the shade and brilliances of fine sapphires. Those arms that had brushed so rudely against hers had been firm with muscle, yet not excessively bulky. The torso that had plowed straight into her basket of groceries had been tapered from fine, wide shoulders to a narrow waist. The strand of hair that she'd spit out after regaining her balance had been the color of soot, but the texture had been soft and smooth against her lips. A veritable Adonis, yes. An Adonis that would pay for her groceries just as soon as she could track him down. She could not well afford to purchase fresh eggs three times in a week...and this was the second time that he had nearly run her down and forced her to drop her groceries.
