It's eight o'clock at night. Do you know where your children are? The loudspeaker boomed from the city van traveling the streets. Curfew begins at nine this month. Remember, all people must be home before sunset for the safety of our community. If you hear someone requesting entrance to your home after curfew, do not let them in. we have special shelters established for those caught outside during curfew. They will be taken care of. Directions to the shelters are posted on all main intersections. Remember, curfew the summer begins at nine o'clock, the van repeated as it slowly patrolled down the street. Marge stood up from her seat on her front porch and checked her watch. Eight o'clock, my ass, she thought. It was eight twenty-five. But then, it was a recorded message.

Inspiration: I wanted to get some horror out, and I was thinking about how the days are so much later in summer.
Story Potential: Medium-high.
Finished Length: ?
Notes: The story isn't what you think. But either Marge or someone near to her will be caught outside after curfew.
