She giggled and leapt up from the rock, her eyes wide with happiness. The rock grunted, shifted its boulder pebbly feet, and scooted a little closer to her. "Uh-huh!" she sang, wagging her finger at it. "That's cheating, and you know it!" Sheepishly, the boulder moved back to its original position. "Wait a minute! What's that? What are you sitting on?" The boulder attempted to look innocent, but its moss-covered hide did not aid its attempt. "Show me!" The boulder grumbled to itself, a grating of rock against rock that made a flight of sparrows flee from the tree nearby. The blonde-haired little girl darted forward and snagged the shining thing she'd glimpsed.

Inspiration: Riffled through the subconscious store of half-realized daydreams.
Story Potential: Medium. I want to say high, though, just because I'd like to try my hand at a children's story. But it's really medium.
Finished Length: ?
Notes: A headstrong little girl gets her hands on something that either a) she wasn't meant to have, or b) she wasn't meant to have until she was much older. Hilarity ensues. Definitely go for the funny. Children's story?
