Lizard-clasp dress: Science Fiction
Aug. 27th, 2005 08:34 pmRasha swirled her skirts as she spun in a circle, eyeing her reflection in the mirror. The dress clung to her shoulders with tiny lizards, and the fabric belled around her ankles, almost transparent, shifting color constantly. The lizards that clasped the dress into place raised their heads and chimed piteously, "buy us. We are clever. We are smart. You will never want to take us off. Buy us, please." Really, thought Rasha, it was a bit much having the merchandise talk to you. She knew some ladies would love it, though. It was clever, she admitted. The fur with two heads that talked had been more than a little disconcerting. "Buy us, Rasha," the lizards chimed, "you will be glad you did." She froze. She had not announced her name. She was wearing an anonymizer. They should have no way of knowing who she was.
