Splatters of tomato spread over the ceiling, running across above her. She started to cover her head so that she wouldn't get dripped on, but then let her hand drop and just stared. So it was that five minutes later, when the tomato came plummeting back down, it landed smack dab in the middle of her forehead. She grabbed a paper towel from near the sink, wiped her forehead, and threw it into the trash basket. She watched its trajectory--
Inspiration: Not entirely sure. Wanted something a little wry, was thinking about the tomato scene in Long Kiss Goodnight, had someone's post about an upside down world in the back of my head from a few days ago....
Story Potential: High. I don't know where it's going, but I love the setup.
Finished Length: ? What, didn't I mention that I don't know where it's going?
Notes: Magic realism feel to it, urban, main character has some sort of prior experience with weird shit....
