Turbine Dragon: Urban Fantasy

The blowback knocked Kyle off his feet and he went flying back three feet, smacking hard against the steel side of the turbine. He pushed himself to his feet, got a rag to wipe his forehead off, and said, "Well, that's that, then." He trudged over to get a better look to see if he could figure out what caused the blockage, when the turbine shut off again. Swearing, he hurled down the rag and stomped over. "If this is some prank pulled by those motherfuckers back in repair," he swore, "I'm gonna have their guts for garters. Young upstarts messing with a man who's been working the job longer than they've been alive, it just ain't right. He climbed back up the ladder and looked over into the depths of the turbine, shining his flashlight down--

Inspiration: "Dust in the Wind"
Story Potential: Medium-high.
Notes: Fantasy story, right. So there's a dragon nest in the turbine. Something about simulating the conditions that work well for 'em. Yeah, global warming--it ain't only the penguins having their habitats disturbed. Dragon just the first of many. Oooo...that's actually kinda a neat idea. End up being novel-length, or linked short stories.
