The blue curtain shimmered like a waterfall as he approached it. He paused just outside its reach, smiling appreciatively, and then picked up a pop can that somebody had tossed away and threw it at the curtain. There was a hiss and sputter as the curtain flashed brilliant with electricity that would have fried him where he stood, and when the can dropped to the ground, he saw that it was charred black. He shook his head. At first, they'd all hoped that it would work out fine with the creatures living in the physical world, but there were some concepts that they just hadn't been able to rid themselves of. It wasn't their fault, of course, but they reflexively created camouflaged security that would kill any unwitting intruder.

Inspiration: Thinking of colors.
Story Potential: Low.
Notes: I know what my first thought is--computer programs enter the Real!--but it would be kind of interesting to see what my second thought would be if I hadn't had the first thought. In which case the second thought would be the first thought, but never mind that.
