Lizard Thief: Fantasy
Mar. 30th, 2006 05:15 pmThe lizard inched its way up the wall, tongue flicking out to taste the air as it climbed. The air was clean; no poisons had spread this high. The lizard would have smiled if its gold-edged lips had permitted expression. Instead, it sped up the movements of its legs as it climbed the wall. It still had other obstacles: cats, bored guards, a sudden hawk. But the biggest danger, that the owner had set his poison traps to catch any creature, not just a human, had been avoided. Most people wouldn't think of disguising themselves as a lizard. A large dog, a tiger, something that could defend itself or attack and kill the guards, yes. A defenseless lizard, no.
Inspiration: Responding to lizard-themed comments in my other lj.
Story Potential: Low.
Notes: Pretty standard-issue fantasy world thief-type thing. Not that interesting.
