Disenthralling Faerie: Fantasy

How to disenthrall a faerie, she wondered, as she stared at the small creature flitting madly about inside the birdcage. The faerie spat threats at her: "My Queen will see you dead of elfshot, foolish mortal human! You will die screaming, and none will be able to help you." She did her best to control the shudder that threatened to crawl up her spine at the fairy's threats. Once she'd disenthralled it, she reminded herself, it would be grateful and kind and would work with her. With luck, the Queen would never even find out what she'd done. There was only one snag: nobody had figured out how to disenthrall a faerie yet. It made the Queen a great and righteous battle leader--
