They'd been expecting a wandering meteor or maybe one of their competitors trying to horn in on the route that they flew. They hadn't expected a spaceship three times as large as their own, floating across the void with all windows dark and all lights turned off. "Can you make out her name?" the captain asked, her eyes level with the radar and the weapons board to make sure that it wasn't just pirates playing dead to lure them in. "No...." the doctor said softly. "But I used to serve on a ship that style. It was really old; they were going to junk them all at the time. I don't think they even ended up in the scrap yard. This thing's a true antique."
Inspiration: Thinking about tentative titles for the police bot story; "Salvage" was one of them.
Story Potential: High.
Notes: Not high because of anything special (this is a very basic setup), so much as high because it would be a nice change to write a "---- in SPAAAAAACE!" story. This is really only one of the elements that would be needed.
