The pig's eye glowed rd as it glared back at her. In her crouch among the brambles, she swore silently to herself. She'd been caught. She thought. She couldn't be entirely sure-- then the pig stomped its foot three times, one of its ears swiveled in place, and she new that yes, she'd been caught. She bolted into the open, hoping to be able to sprint past the truffle-hunting area and reach the border fence before the warden came out to catch her. The pig must have been programmed with her sort of intentions, because it wheeled on its hind legs and charged. It knocked her to the ground with a compact huff of air that made her lie beneath it as if paralyzed for the time it took for Farmer Brown to come out and catch her.
