The first colonists even called them "fairies" because of the wings and the semi-human shape of their bodies, because of the way they flitted around in the twilight, glowing gently in a beautiful show of lights that made even the most cynical among them declare the fairies much better than earth fireflies. The fairies were so much larger, and there was more variation in the colors. It's still entrancing, of course, but most people spit or swear when they see the fairies, trying to push past the--
