Whalehouse: Children's
Aug. 6th, 2009 09:15 amPlaying with whales was fun--a whalehouse was way better than a tree house, nobody could deny that. It was like having a little island of your own, an island that hummed and sang you to sleep at night, through your ears and in your mind, an island that would protect you against the monsters in the night. As long as it didn't forget you were there and dive. The whales usually just submerged a little, just enough to wet their skin and make you splash your feet in your hut, but not enough to put you in any danger. And when they blew spray, it was better than running through any garden hose.
Inspiration: Misread an earlier freewriting, "Playing with Marbles," as "Playing with Whales." Don't ask me how.
Story Potential: Low. I mean, it would be high for a children's picture book, but I don't do those.
Notes: Well, it would be cool to have a whalehouse!
