Solemn shades of blue ripple across her face, reflected from the water beneath. Fingers dip into the liquid. A shiver across her bare back is revealed by the drape of her dress as it falls low across her hips. A gold bracelet dangles from one wrist, remembrance of he who is gone. Sorrow. The ripples light her face and the sadness on it as she unclasps the bracelet and lets it fall into the water below the pier, letting it fall to join his final resting place. She let him slip into the water a year ago tonight and now is ready to forget and forgive him. A golden gleam falls through the water to mark his final resting place.
