The dung stuck to the sole of her foot as she slunk through the jungle. Face twisted in disgust, chiya lifted her foot and tried to scrape of the dun with a stick, but it only smeared itself wider. Her nostrils twitched. The smell was sharp and pungent, unmistakable that of a cow. No cow could survive wild in this land, so the people she stalked would know it as a smell of civilization. She dragged er foot across the ground with little success. Finally, she had to smash a rotten fleshfruit with her foot and rub it around in it to overwhelm the cow stench. The fierce ants that lived inside the fruit stung between her toes, but she bit her lip and kept silent.

Inspiration: "By noon, the ants found the girl-child." - Love in the Driest Season by Neely Tucker.
Story Potential: Low. Nothing interesting going on here.
Finished Length: ?
Notes: There's a pyramid involved somehow. Also needs a new name.
