Tent Revival: Genre Undetermined.
Sep. 7th, 2005 10:50 pmThe preacher orated to the crowd and they listened, swaying back and forth with the rhythm of his incantations to save yourself, be true, find the true god. "Amen," he said, finally, bowing his head in a manner that implied the finish of a debate, not a prayer. "Amen," the crowd murmured in agreement. They filed out of the tent with their souls refreshed and replenished, and their thirst for any entertainment temporarily sated. One of the preacher's sweet-faced acolytes, dressed in a pristine white dress as purty as a snowfall in the mountains, offered them blessed water for the low price of one silver dollar. Not a small number bought the carefully labeled bottles, certified as being blessed by the priest's bishop himself.
Inspiration: "You Need Mercy" by Micronaut.
Story Potential: Low.
Finished Length: Short story.
Notes: With an actual idea, a tent revival could be a nice starting point. However, an actual idea is clearly lacking.
