The light shone gently through the window set high in a casement, the stained glass dying it a pale blue that was calm and soothing as it shimmered across the carpet and, as the sun rose higher, crawled across the hardwood floor until it reached the still body lying face down, clutching a decanter. The blue light made the pool of slowly congealing blood appear to be black in the weird lighting. It glimmered and shone on the glass bottle the dead man clutched. It shone off his bald pate as if in mockery, to point up the toupee that was set neatly on top of a table across the room. The sun continued its slow path across the room until, when it was--

Notes: I wanted to try and do something non-SF/F/H, and this is what I end up with. Not very promising at all!
