Save the Newspapers: Science Fiction

The newspapers, it was all about the newspapers. She had to save as many of them as she could, which she realized the day that the alien ship hovered above them and she saw the scrolling letters writing history across the sky in a projection five feet tall and twenty feet wide, hovering the height of a building above everything. It was a globe, the news media told a breathless public the next day, a projection globe that encircled the world. The alien ships also took over the internet at the same time. Go to any website, and all you saw was the scrolling text dictating their truth. She saw what would be next, and so she gathered all the newspapers and took them to the bunker her grandfather had built in a more insecure time.

Inspiration: A friend asking everybody to save newspapers for a theater set design.
