Crowdsource Spy: Science Fiction
May. 8th, 2010 01:21 pmShe became a spy by accident. It was never a first choice of career for her; she'd thought blogging might do it, though she never could find her niche. She couldn't afford to buy a Maker like her cousin, who her mother brought up at every turn. And she wasn't best-suited for a business job, though she temped around and had some contracts that worked out okay, until the time ran up. She tried signing up for Peace Corp but she flunked the personality test. She tried crowdsourcing her future, but nobody was interested in helping figure out what she should do next; she didn't have the features most of the successful Barbies did--not engaging, not pixie-cute or double-D.

Notes: Okay, I thought the inspiration was going to be the strong point here, but I could see this being a really strong story in a crowdsourced, maker future. V. intrigued.
