Shadow Splinters: Horror
Sep. 30th, 2005 05:27 pmThe shadow splintered on the glass window and ran down to splatter against the ground. Ramey shuddered. They were getting closer. Time was, the shadows wouldn't have been able to touch any part of the house. Now he was worried about the walls. With the windows, at least he could see that they failed. He wondered how they'd gained the ability to touch the house--was it like genetics, with some shadows surviving contact and going off to breed more resistant offspring. Breeding shadows, now there was something he didn't want to think about. He knew that they came from somewhere, that they'd begun showing up about five years ago, at first in isolated pockets of the world, and that now they had spread until most major cities were under siege, and the smaller towns were completely wiped out.
