Subway Tribes: Modern Fantasy
May. 19th, 2009 01:35 pmShe studied the runes on the subway walls for a second to decipher the tribes active. 2 neutrals, 1 friendly, and (dangerous) 1 uncontacted. Better odds than she'd expected, actually. She glanced over her shoulder before she slipped down the stairs to the city underworld. Better odds than she'd have out there, with daylight coming and the bright hunters with it. The underworld had its rules and regulations and she could be killed, easily, either for who she was, or for what she was, or for what she did, but up here she knew she would be killed if she stayed, barring a miracle, and it would be for nothing more than the thwarting of a whim.
Inspiration: This picture.
Potential: High.
Notes: I like the idea of the character and the subway tribes (as an explanation for graffiti). This isn't very original, but it could be fun, and the setting and character have texture in my mind, which is always a good sign.
